Dinner Finale! We started out with finishing touches
to be ready for dinner with so many coming.
We worked feverously to prepare crafts for kids as well as we are leaving at the end of the week. At 9 I went to a ladies’ prayer hour
following the ladies’ event on Saturday.
After a devo on Psalms 3, we divided prayer requests and added many more. It was a good session and certainly a way to
honor all the requests we received.
Following Dwaine and I had a study with Cesar and Carlos to study some cultural
aspects of the church here. It helped us
have a stronger understanding of Salvadorian culture. Following lunch, Dwaine went by to pick up Jorge
and Nelson as they still had one more trip to San Antonio to complete wedding
papers. In the end, Ana Vilma had gone to visit her mother, so Dwaine and Jorge
picked her up when they got to San Antonio. They had dropped me off with Seily
at the cemetery. We went to visit Vilma
and Soila. They had to go out for the
afternoon and were not able to study. We
walked for a ways with them as they went into town. Next we walked on to Amailia’s. She was also out. We visited with her daughter, Sonja, for a
time, and then Seily walked home and I did as well. On the way home, I stopped by and visited with
Xiomara, Gisela and Emilet. Xiomara had
gone to the doctor and they had given her lab orders for Tuesday. Yeah, we were thankful that she went. If they can’t determine any results, she will
have a couple of more exams in Sonsonate.
For the dinner, we had 16 total, including Dwaine and me! We were only missing two, Jose and Ana. It was a blessing to share dinner with them
after the study and an encouragement to complete our last new convert’s
class!
