Down to the
wire and thanksgiving regarding an accident.
We actually still had the morning available to pack and get ready to
leave on Friday for our trip to the States. We ran errands and did a little cleaning. For the afternoon, we went with Xiomara to
visit with Blanca, who came with her on Wednesday night. We had a good study with her and she
expressed a desire to visit with us and continue studying. Yeah for Xiomara and
family for reaching out to their friends to share the good news! Kelly and
Nicole came by and brought a homemade dressing and hairband for Charlotte’s
birthday! It was beautiful! For the
evening we had our Bible study at Rolando and Blanca’s home. They were contacts from Greta Ashburn’s group
on the campaign. What a blessing. Cesar has been studying with them, using Que
Dice La Biblia. We were packed! I don’t know how many people came, but it was
over 30. That was great! Afterwards, Dwaine took some home and some
walked. Even though we are only going to
be gone for two and a half weeks, people mentioned we would be missed. In the course of the evening, with the last
skypes we learned Clifton had a wreck on the way home from Auburn to be with us
when we arrived. He was going 70 on the
interstate and a truck crossed over the lanes.
The car in front of him braked and stopped and he braked and hit. By the time the impact occurred, he was not
going too fast, but fast enough to do some damage. The police recorded it as two wrecks, because
in the end, the cars did not hit the truck.
He said the truck had the worst damage hitting railing and all four people involved were
not injured! Thanksgiving!!! Of course
because he hit in the rears, it was counted as his fault. The two cars were able to continue driving,
but he said he lost a headlight and had hood damage. When all started he was going about 70
and he said in the end, the airbags didn’t go off for him or for the other
car. Thanksgiving that no one was
hurt! Typically, for our visits home we
don’t blog except some beautiful birthday pictures for Charlotte, who will be 2
on the 12th of September.
Happy early Birthday!
