Rejoice!
There is no better start to the day, than to have two baptisms. After continued study with Xiomara and Gisela,
they decided they did want to be baptized.
Xiomara, still had health difficulties, but felt a little better. We are thankful for their decision and pray
they will be deeply blessed. Rarely have
I seen such servants and desire to share the good news. They have already been introducing us to
friends and family. For example, for the
evening Bible class, they brought a friend who we will visit on Thursday. This is exciting!!!! After the baptism, we went to our Wednesday
studies. Dwaine and Cesar connected with
Delmy and Eber and Seily and I went to Briseida’s. Antonio, Briseida’s husband, also joined the
study and we stayed almost two hours. We
actually finished about the same time that Cesar and Dwaine wrapped up, so that
saved them a walk home. Arnoldo and
Carolina came to lunch. I went over all
of Arnoldo’s crafts for the two Wednesdays and Dwaine went over all of Wicket’s
care for our departure on Friday. He had
come by and fed Wicket on our last trip, so he will do the same this time. We only go for two and a half weeks, so it is
not too long. Carolina stayed on to
study and Dwaine, Cesar and Arnoldo went on to study with Michael, Eber and
Melvin. They are desiring to study often
now and we are prayerful for their decision as well. After Carolina, I went on to Socorro’s but
she was not home. We also had an
appointment with her at 4:20 to see a home they were remodeling. She made it back and we drove up to a home
just past the main road. While we were waiting on the key, Sylvia passed by
with her older son. I asked if we might
pick her up Thursday night to go to the weekly Bible study. She said ‘yes!’ We will have to work on the ongoing ‘full car’
issue, but it is fairly close and could make two trips. For the house, it was a
large home, but no yard. It looked to be
a great set up for the church. So, we
asked for the price and they are going to look into that for us. The ‘auditorium’ area would be bigger and
there would be plenty of class space.
One thing Dwaine really liked was a ‘tub’ of sorts that would be a great
baptistery. Well, we might make it one
more year in the local we have now. It
sure would be centrally located and help several in their walk to the
church. We will see how this plays out.
Socorro did go to church and a good group from Sister Ana’s. When we arrived Xiomara and her family was
there, with their friend, Blanca.
Blessings all around.
