Teaching Seminar. We planned to leave church as soon as the
service was over to head to Santa Ana to participate in a teacher’s seminar. The positive of the trip was that the young
lady, Tatiana, came with us, along with Lisbeth and Arnoldo. What a blessing to have a visitor go with
us. Tati and Lisbeth visited along the
way for they both go to the same university.
The negative of the trip…..well, it was a 45 minute drive on a bumpy,
curvy, mountainous road and we were trying to make it a quick trip. We fixed sandwiches and finished up one craft
in route. With the excessive heat….90’s
with no AC……we were all feeling a little…..what’s that word, “blah” when we
arrived. It took us several minutes to
recover. Charlie and Gabi met us at a
service station and we followed them on to the church. We arrived with about 30 minutes to set
up. Lisbeth helped me a lot with the
seminar and I did a combo of object lessons and crafts. Dwaine and Arnoldo also helped served lots of
treats that I brought to theme the lessons.
It was a lot of fun and many people took notes and asked questions. We took a slower time returning got back to
Juayua about 6ish. We knew we were going
to miss the Salcoatitan service. Dwaine
washed some dishes when we got home and by the time he was finished I had
fallen asleep sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee in my hand.
