Lighter day for Sunday.
Charlotte got a call Saturday night from Bessy that the girls were not
meeting Sunday. This week is vacation
week in El Salvador and some of the girls were not going to be at services this
week. That meant Charlotte did not have
to get up and cook lunch to take for the girls.
Clifton did not feel great yet, but he decided to go because it was his
last Sunday here. He did make it through
ok and was glad he went. All went great
and Hector thanked us during the service for hosting the youth seminar and commented
on how well it had gone. Because we came
home pretty soon after services we had some time to rest after lunch before we
headed to Juayua. Clifton did decide to
stay home for this one since he would have more chances to go to Juayua during
the week and was still feeling pretty lousy.
We stopped by Ricardo and Joli's for a few minutes so that Charlotte
could give Joli some material she had worked on for the new project for ladies
here. We went by to try to pick up both
Mr. Rivas and Julia, but neither of them were able to go. We still had some visitors and service went
well. I sat next to Nelson and Charlotte
had studied the parable of the sower with him on Saturday and Cesar preached on
the same parable. Talk about re-enforcement. Dwaine and I also heard the same lesson from
Carlos in Shucutitan Sunday morning too! Some of our members did not have Bibles, so
Cesar had stopped to pick up a large print Bible for Sister Regina, Rosalidia
and Jose. Those were awarded after
service Sunday. Afterwards we had to
stop by Selectos to get a few items for Monday night dinner when we are
planning to have Carlos and Linda over one more time before Clifton
leaves.
Leaving church from Shucutitan.
Nice looking grasshoppers.
Presentation of Bibles.
