Wednesdays
we head out to Juayua about 9:30 in the mornings. Charlotte had put some sunscreen on her neck
because of her shorter hair and I should have put some on my face. We ended up walking the streets all day and I
sure got a burned face. IT WAS
HOT!!!! But it was a good day. We went by the family we had our first visit
with last week and the man was out but they said we could come back about
3:30. So we went to Julia’s and had a
study with her. There was a younger man
there (probably a relative) and we also talked with him and left him a lesson.
Then we went by a couple of other ladies we had left lessons with. One of them said she did not have a Bible and
fortunately Charlotte and I had an extra paper back one so we gave it to her. She was really surprised at that. Then we went back to Cesar’s house and Eliza
had fixed lunch for us. After lunch we
went by the copy store to make copies for the English classes. We had found one that made copies for .02
each. Charlotte and Cesar dropped me off
and went to pick up Pedrito. While they
were gone and I was getting the copies I had a good conversation with the man
and wife who own the little shop. There
were also some students there since it is near the High School and I invited
them to the English classes. Then we
went to Sister Ana’s. She was sitting
outside because of the heat. We had a
good study and then went back by Cesar’s house and got some water. Then we went back to the family from last
week. The man was home and we had a good
visit and study. He makes gourmet coffee
and so we talked a while about that.
Then they served us some and it was good. Cesar bought a pound and when we run out of
the store bought we have on hand we are going to start buying from them also. As we started to leave I mentioned to the man
that we were looking for a house to rent.
He pointed to one just down the street that was under renovation and
said that it was for rent. We went by
and the worker let us in and it was pretty nice but the layout was not really
good. He said there was another house
around the corner that belonged to the same person and that it might be for
rent. We walked by it and it looked
really nice from the street. Cesar said
he knew who the owner was and that he would ask him if the house was for rent
and when we could see it if it was. Then
we went by a home where a lady and her son had both completed the first lesson
of the Bible course we had left with them and so we picked those up and gave
them the second one. Then we went over
to Sister Regina’s for the 5:00 Bible class.
Pedrito had gotten another puppy and Charlotte really liked it. Hopefully when we get moved to Juayua we can
get one of our own. We did have some
people come to the study but they arrived late so we did not finish til about
6:30 and by the time we made our mandatory stop at Selectos it was after 7 but
the trip home went ok.
How many dogs can you count in this picture?
View of a house available for rent in a couple of weeks.
Nice porch, but there will be a spiral staircase down to the kitchen....NO WAY!
Another house we are going to try to view.
Basketball court across from the house.
Well, at least one of us is happy! I love it!
