Monday
meeting. First off, we walked over to
Kelly and Jose’s home and asked if they could come to dinner on Thursday
night. They accepted and Kelly showed us
beautiful flowers she was making from crepe paper dipped in paraffin wax to
sell for the Day of the Dead the first and second day of November. They were really pretty. Next, we headed to Ricardo and Joli’s to meet
with Carlos and Cesar for a nine o’clock meeting. We are planning joint activities for both
Salcoatitan and Juayua. We made a lot of
progress and had some action items to accomplish. Everyone is really excited and it looks like
we will be involved in helping to plant two churches. We are truly blessed. Another blessing for the day, was getting to talk
to some of the children. We still do not
have internet to our home and we had used all the data on our hotspot
connection, so were able to use Ricardo and Joli’s connection. It was good to just to explain why we had not
been able to call. Also, Ricardo and
Joli loaned us a wifi connection on a jump drive for the night. So we are able to finish a few blogs, talk
with most everyone, gather some ideas for the children’s class, translate a
lesson and get a few recipes for guests coming this week. For the afternoon, we visited a lady, Dona
Mercedes, who helped us look for a house, to check to see if she felt up to
coming to dinner on Tuesday. She was
improved from her Chikungunya, and said she could come. Next we went by to visit Sara. Mario had been staying with his mom. They were having some very difficult times in
their marriage and we talked a long time and prayed with Sara. We are trying to set up a visit with
Mario. His mom lives near the Juayua
waterfalls and we know that is a little bit of a dangerous area. Prayerfully, that will all work out. We went by to see if Sister Regina wanted to
visit a former church member in Salcoatitan, but she had gone to the doctor in
Apaneca. We passed Nelson with his son
and got to visit a few moments. Then, Dwaine
and I went by Selectos for some groceries and home for about 30 minutes. Next, in the pouring rain, we headed to Raul
and Anita’s home for our Monday night study.
Cesar led a lesson on repentance and it was good. We also just talked for about 40 minutes and
it was a good visit. Next, we came home I took advantage of having some
internet time.
