In
reverse. This is our first Sunday since
moving to Juayua. So this morning we got
up and headed in the opposite direction to go to Schututian. Carlos from English class had said he might
come to services again but if he was not out at the main road, not to wait for
him. Now picking him up is directly on
our way from Juayua to services. He was
not there and never did arrive at services this time. During the announcements Hector told the
congregation of the plans for Carlos and family to transition from Ataco to Salcoaltitan
over the last 3 months of this year.
Carlos and Linda had been trying to talk to each family individually but
they had talked with some and the word was beginning to get out so Hector said
it would be better to go ahead and tell everyone. The announcement was made
that Rachel was expecting in June. The teen girls did not meet today. Bessie said that the after services
devotional and eating together was fading out and that really only a couple of
girls were still trying to stay. Bessie
and Charlotte decided to set next Sunday for a possible final meeting and to
talk with the girls who came. I think
Lucky and then Charlotte were the hubs and without them there is not much of a
wheel but we moved so that we could concentrate on our work and opportunities
in Juayua and also we have committed to supporting the services in Salcoaltitan
when they begin in January. So, we will have to make a break from Ataco in the
process though we have many dear brothers and sisters there and will certainly
visit there from time. We got back to
Juayua close to noon after a stop by the garbage drop at Rosaria to get rid of
some stuff since we were missing the pick up here in Juayua. We had a good rest after lunch and time to do
some things around the house because we only needed to leave by 4:45 to check
on Julia who had said she might go. She
did not but we will keep trying. I
thought as we were at services how nice it was to be able to just make the 5
minute drive across town to our home and not to have to make the trip to Ataco
we had made so many times in the dark.
We had a new addition to our group.
A sister from Apaneca decided to join our group, her name Gesenia and
she has two young children who came with her.
He husband is going to remain in the congregation in Apaneca for the
time being but is in agreement with her coming here. Also, Zuleyma’s husband Erasmus came to the
services and we gave them and Danielito a ride back home after services. Our numbers are growing and we are hoping for
some new converts before long also.
Visitor to help unpack.
Visitor.....hope to eat mosquitos.....close-up.
