Happy New Year. We did not
have any studies for today but lots of unpacking and arranging left to do. We both got in a pretty good nap after lunch. About 3 we heard noise and Charlotte said she
thought there was a parade. We went out
and walked a couple of streets up and there was a large crowd packed in the
street about as far as we could see and cars everywhere, sure was nice that we
now live so close to downtown. Anyway
the parade included about 25 people on horses, some of which could do very pretty
prancing movements. There was also the high
school band from Juayua and some floats and several people in costumes. It was pretty neat. We ran into Mario and Sara and their kids in
the street and told them we hoped to see them at services Sunday. We went back home to finish unpacking and
Bro. Ricardo called and said they needed to borrow our hot glue gun. He said they would be by in about 5 minutes
but it ended up being about 30.
Fortunately Charlotte said we should go ahead and eat because we were
done by the time they got here. They
said how beautiful the new house is and we told them about the Cesar move and
we all laughed. After they left we
turned in pretty early trying to catch back up.
Another year had begun with lots of promise for opportunities here and
we hope for all of you also.
