It is about 9:30 on Wed. nite and we
have had another really great day. When
we first went out this morning we went by a brand new house (apartment) that
had been built several months ago but had never been lived in. It was really nice and we liked it a
lot. But the best part is that the owner
said they would be willing to let us rent month to month without a
contract. We were really concerned that
we would not be able to find a place that would let us do that and we certainly
cannot sign a one year contract when we begin tomorrow on our visa
paperwork. So that was great news. Then we went to visit some people in
Triumphal. We did not have a study with
anyone there, but got to encourage some people who had been baptized but were
not coming to services. After that we
went to a place where there were several small businesses beside the highway
that sold wooden furniture. We wanted to
get a chest of drawers because right now we are having to use our small
suitcases to keep our delicates in. We
did find a chest we sorta liked, but Lucky told us that people came to Ataco on
Saturdays to sell some of the same things so we decided to wait for now. But we did find a wooden vanity, mirror and
stool that Charlotte liked and she had no place to sit and dry her hair or put
on make-up. I told her I was all set for
Valentine’s Day and she agreed. Then we
came back and had lunch at the Celestial Gardens. It was a very unique place and Charlotte and
I plan to have a date there sometime when we have time to really check it
out. We were in a hurry today because we
still were trying to get in some of the Bible readings. We did study with the older lady we had
studied with on Monday but the other young lady we had studied with twice was
not home today. We had been going in the
mornings and this was in the afternoon. Then
when we got back home the landlady came by with her husband about 5:30. She said the sale of the house was definite
and that the buyer had already paid half the money and they had told him that
we would be out by the end of Feb. Well,
lots of people move all the time so that is no biggie. Then we went to a new home Bible study that
was the first time tonight. There were
only us, Lucky, Carlos and Family and the people who lived in the house. They were not Christians but had agreed to
have the study in their home so it was really good. Carlos is a great preacher, he can go a long
time just speaking from his heart with no notes and he really knows the Bible
well. After the study I spoke with him
about our move and about our visiting the new house. He agreed to go there tomorrow to try to
barter for a lower price for us. He also
said the brothers here would help us move.
So, we will be starting out in a
beautiful new house that has never been lived in. I am excited, Charlotte said it may be too
nice. Tomorrow we have a very early
start because we are going to San Salvador to take our papers to a translator
lawyer that Caleb and Della recommended.
We have an appointment with him at 9:45 a.m. So keep us in your prayers that all goes well
on the trip and with the house. Love you
all. Dwaine for Dwaine & Charlotte.
