Initially, we
had planned a 9 o’clock trip to Ahuachapan to help a bother with some work he
needed to accomplish, but Cesar said that he could make the drive for us. They took our car for the space and AC and we
used his car for tooling around Juayua.
Since we thought we would have an early morning run, we had scheduled
our study with Mario, Adalia and Jennifer early, about 8. With the swap out we arrived at their house
about 8:30. Mario had to go out of town
for his work. She said he often even
went to Guatemala for work as well. So,
we studied the Word with Adalia and Jennifer.
That seems to be the study of the week.
It was a good study and I told Dwaine afterwards that Adalia had made
many more comments in the absence of her husband than the previous week. I hope that is a sign that she is getting to
know us and is more comfortable with us. Next, we drove up to Kelly’s to see what she
needed for Sunday. We settled on some
help with decorations, cookies and help for serving. I had some blue graduation hats for décor,
but her color scheme is black and white……oh well. We came back home next and Dwaine worked on a
bath for Wicket and I worked on hemming my skirt. Dwaine also runs short errands here and there
and he ran into Mauricio and he said he had to unexpectedly go to San Salvador
for his study, so they rescheduled for Friday afternoon. After lunch, we drove to Xiomara's and Emily was planning to go with us to some studies. Xiomara had
gone to Sonsonate with Gisela to go to the doctor to see if she could learn
anything about her (Xiomara) bad headaches.
We first went to Carla’s but she was not home this week. Next, we went to Blanca’s. It was about 2:15 and she said that 3:30
would be a much better time for her. So,
we drove to the cemetery to catch Vilma.
She was home, but on her way out and said we could try to start back on
Monday. On the way in, we had passed
Alba and we have been talking that we could start back studying. So, we set up a time for Friday
afternoon. It may be a time of convergence
as Mauricio may arrive and then Nelson and Alba and her girls. Interesting.
Well, Dwaine and I can split up Alba and Mauricio, and then Nelson can go to
Cesar’s if it all happens. We went on
home for about 45 minutes and Dwaine started cutting Wicket’s hair for a shave
and I hemmed a few more minutes. At 3:30
we got Emily and went on to Blanca’s for a study on faith. She has a desire to make changes in her life,
but she lets life get in the way. We
finished up after about an hour and had just a few minutes before the 6 o’clock
study. Guess what? Wicket and skirt got a little more work. Dwaine left to pick up folks at Ana’s and I
walked to the Bible study at Cesar’s. It
was a full house, around 30ish. We had
no internet for the night, so Dwaine did some extra reading out loud in a book
called, ‘Who is my Brother?’
