October 18, 2016

Tigo arrived at 9:20 to get our billing information.  We had a study at 9:30, so we were cutting it close.  It was a nice visit with the young man, Rafael.  It turns out that he is one of the preachers at Izalco.  At 9:30ish we went to Sylvia’s.  She was not home, only her young son.  We have talked that we think she really is not interested in continuing as she is regularly out and has never visited a ladies’ event or service.  So, we will probably discontinue this study for now and just try to keep up on an intermittent schedule.  We used our ‘extra time’ to go by and visit Jose Manual, husband of Evelia and brother-in-law of Adelia.  He had completed reading “Que Dice La Biblia?”  and had started a second book.  However, he said that he had no interest in attending church with his wife sick.  They only live about 4 houses down from the building and is often out in town, so we think he really isn’t interested in studies.  We will just keep stopping by all along and see what develops.  Just up from him, Marlene, another contact, lives.  We wanted to stop by and she was exiting and said her schedule was just too busy to study.  So, hopefully, she will continue visiting ladies’ event and will come to a change.  We came on home for lunch.  Afterwards, Dwaine and Cesar went out to rent a van and check on chair rentals for out November area event.  I went to pick up Regina and went on to Sister Ana’s.  Eliza had planned to go as well, but Abi was crying and she decided she would try another time. Sister Ana was well from her cold and therefore was in good spirits.  Sonja sat in on the entire study and Marina came in and out.  I took some of the bracelets that Minnie Teague had graciously made for our ladies here.  I had also shared some of the clothes for both ladies and they were already using those items.  It is a blessing to get to share Central’s generosity.   Afterwards, I dropped by Eliza's to take her a bracelet and Abi a gift.  It is always hard to connect with people on an individual basis.  For the night, Don Santos came and brought Jimmy.  He ran late due to some work on his house he is remodeling and he also forgot his reading glasses.  So, we decided to just visit and not study.  They stayed for a little over an hour and we enjoyed the time together.
