Early morning
knock at the door was Socorro with keys.
I’m not sure where they showed up, but the housekeeper may have placed
them somewhere. Mornings are always
busy, and at 9ish we left for Sylvia’s, but she was not home. At 10:30 we had an appointment to meet with
Jennifer. Jennifer and her mother,
Adalia, have come to several ladies’ events and they live near Sister Ana. Since I see Jennifer in passing all along, I
asked if we could come by for a visit.
They live in a little more questionable area, but we had been closeby
without any problems. So, we arrived at
10:30 and she met us to take us to her home.
Her dad, Mario, was also home and we got to visit with the entire
family. The regularly attend a church
where their families for generations have attended. On the otherhand, they were very open, had
questions and were willing to continue.
So, we will continue and pray God will open hearts. At 2 we picked up Xiomara and Gisela and went
to Carla’s. She was ready for us and
said she would come for the night study at our home. She is very energetic, but often says she
will come, but does not. She does have
good questions and participates in the study.
Next, we went by Blanca’s, but she was not home. She has a great desire for change, but life
is busy and she struggles finding time to make that effort. At home, we finished cleaning the house and
Dwaine went to building to pick up chairs and books for our study in the
evening. We had 40 people to come! I brought out the two cakes for Mario and
Seily’s farewell. Funny, I had picked up
some chocolate bars to grate on top and those were completely melted. I threw them in the freezer, hoping for a
quick freeze and it worked. It was hard
to say our good-byes, but I am sure we will see them at times at events and
visits. I had left the Tres Leches cake
with Seily and she forgot to bring my pyrex.
I said I could come by on Friday as I was picking Kelly and Nicole up at
8:30. Alas, they were heading out at 4
and she would just leave it with them. Next,
more time for seminar prep again....
Early arrivals for Thursday night Bible Study
A good start.
We're growing.
Hay más....there's more
Lemon lineup for a battery.
If Jesus is the battery and the nail is the Word, the more we, the wire, is wrapped around the Word, the more attraction we have for other's! It's fun!
Look at the attraction!
