First, we
tried to study with Slyvia. She is often
out and so was the case this morning.
So, we headed on to Selectos for groceries. After everything was put away, we went back
again. This time her younger son was
home, and he said she would be out the whole morning. Close to lunch time one of Sister Ana’s daughters’,
Sonja dropped by with her husband, Douglas.
Sonja comes some to service and Douglas has visited one time. It was a good visit and we were able to set
up a study for Wednesday. Douglas is a
security guard and he works a 24 hour shift and then rests for 24 hours. That means, his study date will change every week,
but we planned to start on Wednesday.
For the afternoon, Seily and I went to visit Vilma and she said she had
to go to the school for a meeting. When
we arrived at Amelia’s, she was having her blood pressure taken. Her pressure was high, but she said we could
have a short study. Seily led this study
and then she said her good-byes as they plan to leave on Thursday. I asked if she might come one more time to
Sister Ana’s on Tuesday and she said for a short visit only. I hate to lose her help. For the evening, we took a dish to Hector and
Rachel’s for dinner with Rodney, Soi'bhan, Asher, and Rodney’s mom Diane and his
grandmother Jo. They had gone to the
beach for the day and Soi'bhan lost her phone in the water trying to keep a log
from battering the kids. I sure felt bad for her for that because she lost her pictures
from the trip. Osvaldo and Luzelena
came, as well as Warren and his family.
It was a nice meal together.
Since they are here for only a few days, this would be our only time
together.
