October 2, 2016

Sunday morning was especially busy this week for Dwaine.  He went to the building early to clean after the event on Saturday.  Most of the event was outside, but the piñatas were inside.  He also went by the store to pick up two cakes to celebrate the next three months of birthdays.  I had said that when that hit on an especially busy weekend, I wouldn’t cook them, so this one qualified.  It almost was not enough.  We were holding our breath at the end, but in the end, Dwaine and I split the last pieceJ.  Seily came to me during the break at church and said this would be her last week here.  They were returning to Santa Ana.  She is my constant to go to studies and I will miss her greatly!  She said she would go out with me Monday and Tuesday, but that is all. At the end of service, we gave the baptism certificates to ‘Jorge,’ Ana Vilma, Xiomara, and Gisela.  Jorge was actually out working and was not there, so Ana Vilma took his certificate for him.  When it was time for Gisela, she was very moved.  What a celebration!  After church, we came home, thinking that Rodney and his family might come by.  They were due to come in on Saturday and we thought they may come to the evening service in Salcoatitan.  Right at the end of the service, they arrived.  To our surprise, they said they had just arrived.  They had bought tickets online from United and when they got to the airport, the airline had no record.  They had a confirmation number, but in the end, it was a ‘no fly.’  So, they connected with Delta to fly out on Sunday morning.  Hector said they were going to do a potluck dinner on Monday night with several folks, so we were excited to get to spend a little time with them on their visit.  They are only staying until Wednesday, so it is a short trip!
