Megamarket. We went to pick up Kelly, Nicole and Kiki at
7 to go to Sonsonate to buy produce for Melissa’s graduation lunch on
Sunday. Kiki takes an English class in
Sonsonate, so he was just getting dropped off.
When we got to the market, it went on for several blocks. Of course, we parked early and the target was
the last open area. There was a throng
of people, vendors and buyers. It was
all interesting and Kelly weaved around until she had quite a load. It was good we had all gone as she had a lot
to carry. If we had not gone, she would
have had to carry all that on the bus.
We also made a quick stop at Dollar City and then a stop at Super. We made it home 9:30 to 10ish. We took a break through lunch and then went
out to try some studies. First, Edgar, a
contact of Clifton’s group had said he would be home on Saturday, so we stopped by
about 2:30. He had gone to Sonsonate and
his wife, Rachel, said that he should be back in about an hour. One person we wanted to visit was Rut. She has come to two ladies’ events with her
daughter Jennifer. She had described
where she lives, so we went in that direction.
The man who answered the door actually said she lived behind him. To get to those houses, we had to walk
completely around the block, but we found her.
She said she was due for a wedding at that moment and she was still
doing some cooking for it. So we
scheduled a stop for Wednesday morning.
I was thankful we made a connection.
From there we tried to visit a second lady and her children who had come
to the children’s event. Her name was
Magnolia. She wasn’t home, but we can
try another day. Next, we headed up to
Celia’s for a visit. She was home and
doing well. She said Terry was working
and doing slightly better with her heart condition. Next we went back to Edgar’s but he still was
not home. We will have to try another
day there as well. For the evening,
Dwaine recolored graduation caps.
Lisbeth had made 15 blue caps for our English graduation two years ago
and Kelly’s theme was black caps. So, a
big marker worked miracles! He colored
and cut for the children’s class and I made 150 star sugar cookies with décor. I was supposed to be at Kelly’s at 7 and it
was a challenge to be ready for class and the event so early.
