Thursday morning was quiet. I utilized the morning working on crafts for
the ladies’ class. Progress is slow. At
this point, I have a theme for the lesson, but not a clear idea of where that
will take me. After lunch, I went to a
study with Seyli. This was our first
study with Sandra, the mother-in-law of Wendy….mother of Oscar. She is always caring for grandchildren, but
everything was quiet when we arrived.
Children were sleeping and Wendy was also taking a nap. It was a good opportunity to visit some and
have our study. She said that we could
come again next Thursday. It was good to
get started on this study and we are prayerful she will be open. Afterwards I connected with Cesar and Dwaine
for a study at Mario’s. He had come by
earlier in the week to say that he could study Thursday, but Sara would be
working until Tuesday. We were hoping to
start some couple counseling, but Sara has little time off. Hopefully that will work next Tuesday. By the time we finished that study, it was
almost 5, so we headed around the corner to Sister Regina’s home for the
Thursday night study. She said she would
host it this week. It was a smaller
gathering. Brother Lara led the study
and he did a good job. We finished about
6, but still had a ways to go until topping the day off. The ladies had scheduled a meeting from 8 til
10 to get ready for the ladies’ class.
There still seemed some items to clarify. Yoli had prepared a flyer on a study of
Lydia, so it seemed to work good to plan a study about Lydia for the ladies’
class. We did keep going til 10
amazingly and then walked home. The
meeting was at Cesar and Eliza’s. Yoli
had come to our house and Dwaine walked us to Eliza’s and then came back before
10 to walk us back. The wind sure was
whipping about! It was also a little
coolish. It was good to get home, but
still skyped with Leanna for a few school details. Friday looks to be a quieter day!
An especially pretty bloom from a plant that our landlord left us.
