February 5, 2016

This morning Charlotte needed to work on getting ready for her presentation tomorrow for the ladies event here in Juayua so she decided to take a morning at home.  We also had to get a large number of food items for the cooking she needed to do because we were providing the refreshments since this one was ours.  We walked Wicket and then she went into Selectos and I brought Wicket back home to get the car since we were getting too much to carry in our hands.  I had told Cesar I would go out with him and Bro. Mario about 9 but I had to call and tell him it would be a little later.  About 9:15 he walked over to our house and about 10 minutes later Br. Mario arrived.  I hung out our washed towels while they each had a cup of coffee and then we headed out on Mario's Ford Escape.  It is a fairly nice vehicle and on the way I asked him what year it was.  He said it was a 2008 and that he was still making monthly payments to the bank for it in the amount of $250 per month and that only about $90 of that was capital and the rest was interest since the rates here are so high.  Sure am glad we were able to get the one we have here (Caleb and Della got it) without taking out a loan with those rates.  He drove up in front of Rafael's house and he was sitting out front waiting for the trash truck.  We had a good study and because we had gotten a late start we did not finish till after 11.  Then we ran by Jose and Kelly's to tell her she could bring Nicole with her to the ladies event because there would be some videos for the kids to watch during the meeting.  Jose and Kiki were home but Kelly and Nicole were actually over visiting with Sister Seyli in our old house so that was neat.  Then we went over to visit with Mr. Rivas and he was home but it was almost noon so we only had a short study.  We did get to ask his grandmother and aunt to come to the ladies event.  After that Mario dropped me and Cesar off in front of Cesar's house and I walked around the block to our house.  Turns out Charlotte had spent the entire morning cooking and had not worked any on her lesson so far.  She did get to work on it some after lunch but ended up going until 2:30 on Saturday morning before she finally made it to bed.  As an end note from Charlotte, today was the 11 year anniversary of my mom’s passing.  Christina had spent a lot of time during the week ordering some flowers for her gravesite.  She sent a photo for me and it was a blessing that made my day!
