Today we spent the morning preparing for the teen girls to
spend Thursday night here. I made two
trips to the $.99 store which is the biggest store in Ataco and where pretty
much everything is more than 99 cents.
They do have a pretty good selection of groceries and it is usually our
first stop but there are a couple of more places if they do not have
something. Then Charlotte and I went out
together about 10:00 to look for several things. We saw some nail polish and the lady said it
was $2 per bottle. Then she walked off
and how much if we bought 5, he had not
heard her so he said 50 cents each. I told
Charlotte to make her choices quick before the lady came back. We later went to a school supply store where
the same nail polish was 60 cents a bottle so we decided the lady just thought
we were loaded. Charlotte found several
things she was looking for and then we ran back home had a quick lunch and
headed to Juayua. We had told the
Melgars we would be there about noon.
They had really cleaned the house a lot and got a lot put away so it was
looking pretty good. I worked on the
table leg and got it pretty stable then we put the table in place and put the
chairs around it. After helping them for
a while we went to Sis. Anna and had a study with her. She said she had a really bad headache so we
did not stay as long as usual. Then we
went to visit Sis. Rosa who lives near Sis. Regina and stayed till after 6 so
we had to rush to Mr. Rivers. We had a
good study and then Charlotte and I went to Super Selectos in Juayua to get a
few more things she needed for tomorrow night.
It was still after 9 US time when we got home but we got to skype with a
couple of the kids while we ate dinner.
Dwaine found a cicada.
Close up!
It must have just molted, and very much alive,
so Dwaine placed it on the window sill after the photo op.
