Kick off in Juayua with some rockin and rollin! Overall Saturday was a quiet day. Ataco is still busy with Holy Week, but seems
to be settling down some from all the activities. Dwaine went out in the morning to retrieve our car from its parking space at the entrance of the city. The car was fine, but we had inadvertently left a back window down. So, the pentaly for that, is a car slam full of mosquitoes. He said there were swarms. He made it home, but gave it a good go over with the Raid! Midafternoon, Dwaine and I traveled to Juayua
to have our first Saturday study on evangelism.
Cesar conducted the study comparing the commission of the twelve
disciples with the commission of the 70.
We thought the study might just be Regina and Pedro’s family, Cesar and
Eliza and Dwaine and I, but we had two more to come as well. Brother Francisco came and Mauro came. Mauro lives close to Regina and Pedro and
comes when he can. We have been to his
home for a study, so it was great to see him there. Dwaine was making a comment when we had a
pretty good earthquake. Regina began
praying and her daughter came to sit in the doorway. It came in three pretty good waves. When it was over, Dwaine said he didn’t even
feel it. I guess he was focused on his
comment. When we got home I looked it up
and it was a 5 on the Richter scale offshore of El Salvador. Afterwards, we
made some additional plans to begin teaching English in the home of Regina and
Pedro on Saturday mornings beginning in May.
While we may make up some flyers, Sister Regina thought they could fill
our first class without any trouble.
Once Dwaine and I move to Juayua we will try to add a class at our home
as well. We are praying this will be a source
of contacts for us. It is exciting to
get things going. We pray that while we
make plans, that God will show us the way to go and that a great work for his
glory will proceed forth in Juayua!
Well....no pics today:(
