April 8, 2015

Yesterday morning we headed out to Juayua at 9.  Cesar had asked us if we could help them paint their living room.  It had a strange swirl pattern that Charlotte had said from the beginning that she did not like but I thought didn’t look too bad.  I guess they agreed with her because they had decided to paint it.  This is by far the biggest room in their house and it is a pretty big room so it will take a while to paint.  There is also so much dust here that Charlotte spent a lot of time cleaning and it still seemed that there was dust everywhere.  Elisa fixed us a delicious lunch, they had wanted to have us over for a meal when they lived in Santa Ana but their water got turned off for repairs that very day so she was not able to cook.  We painted some more after lunch but stopped about 2:30 so we could go to visit Sister Anna.  She was feeling better than last week and we had a good visit plus one of her daughters sat in so that was really good.  Last night at 6 her parents (who are fairly old) and her sister came to the class at Sister Regina’s house.  We also got to go again to visit Bro. Raul and his wife and 2 kids and study with them some then they all came to the 6:00 class.  I led the study at Sister Regina’s and Cesar went over to study with Mr. Rivers.  We talked about the book of Judges and how the people forgot God in one generation after all He had done in bringing them out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.  Then we talked about the importance of teaching our children since there were 4 young children there from two families.  Then we talked about the cycle of turning from God and falling into the hands of the enemy then crying out to God when things got bad but then forgetting God again after He had rescued them and how that relates to our lives.  That God gave them a land of milk and honey and they ended up living in caves to escape the enemy because of their disobedience and how God wants the best life for us here and how bad things go when we listen to Satan and not to God.  Then right after we got home Brian came over and got an unexpected supper with us.  We had some cheese dip Charlotte had made and he said it was some of the most delicious stuff he had ever tasted.  After dinner I got out the Bible and showed him several verses about the idea of restoring New Testament Christianity.
