Wednesdays are Juayua days.
As we headed out of town we saw Sister Reina walking on the street and
had the joy of giving her a ride back to her house so she would not have to
take a bus. We arrived at Cesar and
Eliza’s house about 10 and after a few minutes of talking and getting materials
together Cesar, Charlotte and I went out to do some door knocking in his area
of town. It took us 2 hrs. to cover one
block because we were able to stop and talk with so many people. Four different homes had ladies who agreed to
take the first lesson of the Bible course ‘Que Dice La Biblia’ and let us come
back next Wen. I told Charlotte the
difference with her being with us was phenomenal. I am sure having a lady present sets people
more at ease. Eliza had fixed spaghetti for
lunch and it was great. After lunch we
drove over to Sister Regina’s to go with her to visit Sister Anna. Regina’s mother was better and out of the
hospital so that was great news. After
Anna’s we tried to visit a man who was married to one of the ladies here who is
a Christian but he is not. He was not
available so then we went to Bro. Raul and Charlotte, Regina and Eliza studied
with his wife, Ana while Cesar and I studied with Raul. He said he did not have a Bible so I gave him
the one I had and asked him to start trying to read it at least some every
morning and pray some. Charlotte said
Ana was very attentive and even read along on all the verses. After the visit at Raul’s we went back to
Regina’s for the 6:00 class. We had
Raul, Ana and their 2 kids as well as Sister Rosalidia and her two young
children so Charlotte had a class of 4 for the first night with the new kid’s
chairs. She said it went well. We also had two men to visit for the first
time, one that Raul had invited. We are
excited at all the prospect our Lord is placing before us in Juayua. On the way out of town we stopped at Selectos
and tried to buy them out in preparation for the brothers from Central for this
weekend. Unfortunately we could not fit
everything they had in the store in our car.
Ant that has a nasty, painful bite; so we are told.
