Wonder Woman or how does she do it? Sunday morning we woke up to Charlotte still
feeling pretty bad. She still wanted to
go to services, of course. She always
fixes a small lunch for the teen girls who have a devotional and then go
visiting after services. We needed
drinks and when I got back from getting them she had been sick at her
stomach. Still, she got ready and
went. Not only did she go but she also
helped with the children’s class as well as staying for the devotional and
lunch with the girls. We usually have to
park pretty far away and she had walked up at the front end but while she was
in the devo I was able to go down and get the car and pick her up
afterwards. She said she had felt pretty
terrible the whole time but no one who saw her knew it. She did stay home in the afternoon while I
went to the Ataco service. She spent the
whole time looking at websites to get ideas for the children’s classes
here. I was amazed when I got to the
place where the church meets in Ataco.
It was an open top small building that belonged to one of the families
here. Just a couple of weeks ago Hector
had mentioned that the rainy season would soon be here and that would be a big
problem. When I got there Sunday a nice
roof had been put on. It sure looked
different. The singing was noticeably better
and at least now there is not the rush because of the rain but it is still
pretty small and they are still looking for a place that is bigger and permanent.
When I got home we had dinner and as we were eating Edgardo and George came
by. George lives out past us and always
goes to Juayua so he wanted to ride with us.
We dropped Edgardo off near his house as we were on our way. We had a good number but only people from
Juayua other than us so there were no men who had been accustomed to
leading. Cesar led a prayer and then led
the singing and when he started to lead in the Lord’s Supper I told him I could
do it and Sister Regina said Amen Brother in Spanish. That was my first time here for that but I
am sure it will not be my last. We also
stopped at Selectos as we headed out of town because we needed a few thing and
we have an unwritten rule that we cannot pass a Selectos without stopping.
