Great study!
Suleyma arrived at 9 to start our Saturday morning studies. Arnoldo was not able to go because Regina had
no one to stay with her. Danielito is
quite heavy, so I helped with carrying everything but him. We first went to Wendy’s home. Since she is expecting in February, she really
connected with Suleyma. We had a good
study on discipleship and she had a visiting lady from Apaneca, Merilou and she
sat in on the study. Also, another lady,
Sandra, also lives in this home and she listened. When we finished, we stayed another 30 to 40
minutes visiting. Wendy’s husband was
working, but she said that she would talk to him this week to see if they might
visit church with us next week. We will
be in prayer about this. Then, later in
the day we passed her on the street walking with a concrete block on her head. That was amazing. People just carry everything on their
heads. Wendy’s neighbor, Reina, was not
home so we will try to catch her on into the week. We wanted to give invitations out for our
event on the street where Suleyma lives.
It was busy with many people coming and going. So, it was great to greet so many
people. Alba, who had asked about going
to church with us, was walking and she said that she wants to stop by our home
soon for a visit and bring me some oranges.
We keep meeting her and it is exciting to see God putting people in our
lives. Dwaine and Cesar also went out
with invitations and we met them along the road too. It is a blessing to have some time to get
going on our upcoming breakfast event.
After the morning activities, I took Suleyma to her moms and we ate a
bite of lunch. Dwaine went to English
class and I worked on English for the schools.
Dwaine said both Carlos and Nelson came to class. Dwaine is planning to shift the English to a
Bible study in English since these are our regular students, along with
Arnoldo. Kelly and Nicole came for our
study about 4. She had some specific
questions, so it was a great study as well.
She said her sister was in town, so she would not be able to come to
service. Dwaine walked down to see if
Mr. Rivas would come to service. He said
he couldn’t today, but would come on Sunday.
The study went well for Saturday night, focusing on the Lord’s
Supper. When we got home, I decided to
stay up after the midnight hour working on English for the schools. This will be the last week for those classes. While I will miss the students, I am hoping
for some more regular sleep hours.
