Started the day with a study with Nicole and
Kelly. They came for about 2 hours for
their study. Danielito is one year old!
Danielito is Suleyma’s son and he turned one year old today. We were invited to his birthday party. She had asked if I could bring some cheese
dip and I said I would be delighted to do this!
I had no idea that she was planning for 60, but dip is easy to fix. Suleyma asked Linda to lead the games and
then she also asked me to do some. While
I didn’t mind that either, I had not been to a birthday party since we arrived
and therefore had no idea what kind of games they play. So I planned about 6 games and they went
great. Linda did an exceptional job. She is so energetic. The best part for me, is that they had a piñata! It was also the first time I had seen
this. The amazing part was that once an
opening was made and candy began to fall, the child with stick was still
swinging! It was all the adults could do
to keep them from hitting someone. The piñata
was huge, and it must have taken a lot of candy to fill it. Someone had to be in charge of making the piñata
go up and down with a thick rope. I know
they got tired. It was really fun. In the end, about 50 came and we ate the
whole time and had lots of games from beginning to end. It was a blessing to share this time with
them. There was a big downer
though. Dwaine was feeling really bad
with an upset tummy. While I have been
sick over a month now and still almost always have a tummy ache, he started a
week after me feeling bad, so the virus may be at its peak for him now. He mostly sat outside the building in the car
during the party, with little to no energy to do anything. It is so rare to have him sick. Afterwards, we had no plans, so we headed home. It went from 2 to almost 6.
