Full steam ahead for a week hopefully back to
routines. We did decide not to have our
weekly meeting with our leadership group. It seems we have several regular events in
place and so do not seem to need to meet as often. So, we are going to shift to every other
week. That is great in that it will give
us some time to schedule in some extras.
We did lay low our first Monday off and did some cooking and house
cleaning. We had taken Clifton to work
in Salcoatitan where he was going to spend the day at the bodega, or
storage. It is like a small warehouse
and they are trying to computerize their inventory. At the end of the day, Clifton said that he
had put barcodes of items into the computer and still had a lot of ground left
to cover. After lunch, I met with Seily
to study with Amalia. We actually
decided to go visit Reina first, since it has been some time since we had
caught her at home. She was home, but
had the Juayuan flu, along with two of her grandchildren. We did study, but kept it brief. Reina, like several, sees the need for
Christ, but is having a hard time visiting.
I can definitely identify with her sickness, but keep her in your
prayers that as she improves, she will have a desire to unite with the
body. It was good to get to see her, for
it had been some time. Next, we went to
Amalia’s home, and she could hardly stand up.
When we arrived she was resting on the couch, terribly sick. Amalia is in her mid 80’s, so having this flu
must be multiplied many times over. So,
we had a prayer and departed. We decided
to go search for a new visitor to the ladies’ event, Claudia Veronica and we
were able to find her. She had described
her house to me at the event, and I was so excited to locate her without any
problem. She visited with us at the door
of her yard. Her husband was home and
she said he did not like her to invite people in. We asked if she had a good time to study, and
we settled on Wednesday morning.
Afterwards, we stopped by and spoke to Rafael who was on his porch and
also to Celia, who heard us passing by.
We wrapped up our visits at this time and headed home. We all worked on studies for the
evening. Clifton did make mention that
his throat was beginning to hurt just a little.
Oh no, we know what this means!
