Day 2 of doorknocking. Of course Xiomara and Emily came to help with breakfast. Seily also came. One thing they do is to help fix lunch too. While breakfast is cooking, lunch is going as well so that it can be ready to transport to locations. Once it is ready, it is just packed into crockpots to keep warm. This day was spent in Salcoatitan. For this day we went close to the building and
along the main road for our group. We
were invited in for a few homes and Mischaela shared some verses and we had the
opportunity to pray with some families.
We also got to talk to several young people along the way and that was a
blessing. Carlos and Linda have a strong
connection with the youth and it was exciting to share what they are
doing. Afterwards, we had lunch at the
building and we repeated the ladies’ event in Salcoatitan. They had a super turnout with around
25ish. I don’t know the exact number,
but it was a great number. It is always
a little easier on repeat days. Della
had updated some of her speech and everyone was ready to go, including the kids
program as well. For the meeting, I went
with the children, so I can’t make many comments about the meeting. The second day, the final prayer was not
given for the ladies so that more would stay for the evening meeting and that
turned out to be a good decision. After
the final meeting we headed to the Hotel and enjoyed the fellowship. It was good again to have the opportunity to
invite a few members along too to enjoy the fellowship and to build
relationships.
