Zip lining Tuesday. First, back to cooking. I had promised Wendy a long while back that I
would make a cake for her husband, Oscar on the 19th. So, I cooked a cake early and we dropped it
off with the children. Then, on to some
day activities. After we took Caleb zip
lining last year, we had to promise each of the kids if they came we would take
them as well. Clifton had gone last
summer, so when the girls came, we made another trip as well. Since we had gone several times, Dwaine stayed
at the office and studied. I went with
Christina, Clifton and Leanna and we were the only ones on the lines. That was nice! It is a 15 line course and high in the
Apaneca mountains. The sites are
beautiful on the long valley runs. Afterwards,
we drove to Ataco because Leanna wanted to see Little Carlos. She had pictures from when she first met him
and he is about 12 now. He had really
grown. He walked around to some shops
with us and it was good to see him. Leanna also tried to contact Bryan, who was
a good friend of Caleb and Della. We had
continued the friendship and so Leanna had gotten to know him. Although they got to message, we were not able
to make the connection to meet with him. Afterwards we went to Osvaldo and Luz Elena’s
in Ahuachapán. We went out to Subway for dinner and then on
to a Tuesday night service there. Clifton and Leanna were trying to connect
with several friends. Some were there
and some were not. We made the drive back home and called it a night.
Ready for zip lining!
