Morning at home. It was wonderful to have a few minutes to
work on things at home. Of course there
was the early morning cooking, but alas, after a few minutes the water was gone. That usually is an all day event. I used most of my time to work on my afternoon
lesson for Sister Ana and her household for about three hours. I especially enjoyed I Peter 2:21-25. I probably read 5 or 6 entire sermons on
these verses and they were all so enriching.
I remember Elliot Tyler teaching I Peter and I have since wanted to
study it more on my own. Thanks for the
inspiration Elliot! One thing happened while Seily was giving the reading lesson that almost brought me to tears. Ingrid, Carolina's daughter of about 6 years and Nelson, Ana and George's son of about 7 years, were outside in the courtyard and they were both singing the song that names all the books of the Bible! We have been working on this about a month and it is exciting to see them learning and singing at home! Dwaine decided to
take our car to Sonsonate for AC repairs, so Cesar let me drive his car to the
study. I was thankful, but in the end I
told him either I had no strength left in my arms because I used it all, or I
had lots of strength in my arms since I had such a workout. He has no power steering and it was a
challenged to drive for me. Our AC has
been out since moving to El Salvador. We
have tried to have it fixed several times, but to no avail. Dwaine said he wanted to try again for our
many scheduled trips to San Salvador and having the group here. He left it at a shop Ricardo recommended and
took him to. At Ana’s I did the study
and Seily did our Spanish reading and writing lesson. We shortened it a little thinking Dwaine
might get to go get the car, but in the end, it wasn’t to be ready until
Wednesday morning. For the evening, Don
Santos came. Clifton walked with me to
the copier to make another round of copies for the children’s classes. This one involved a lot of detailed cutting,
so I did not join the study this evening with Dwaine and Don Santos. There is still a lot to do, and time is
getting short.
