Full swing.
Everyone has the schedule down now, so things settled more into
routine. We were just having burritos
for breakfast but a lot of ground to cover for lunch. Kelly, Nicole, Xiomara and Emily came and
they made it look easy. It seemed that
as the week wore on, people arrived a little later each day. So, we bumped breakfast back about 15
minutes. Our group, along with Clifton’s
group headed up near the church building and we covered several areas of
regular studies, including the cemetery.
It was especially good to see Wendy’s family and Wendy and Sandra came
to the ladies’ event. The ladies’ event
featured Suzie teaching on Ephesians 5 to make the connection between a wedding
of covenant between man and woman to a wedding of covenant between a person and
Christ. To introduce the lesson, they
did a mock wedding with Suzie, Mary and Mischaela . It was conducted in both Spanish and English with
the help of Linda, Carlos and Ricardo.
It was a big help and thanks to Suzie, there was a nice wedding dress to
use. Another aspect of this day, was a
craft. Della had prepared all the
materials to do a dolly wedding dress.
It turned out really pretty and most everyone could make 4 or 5. This night, Linda taught the kids and they
did have the main room of the church.
That helped with room and the adults met outside. I still helped with the kids and that was
great. Afterwards most went to eat, but
I headed home one more time to cook.
Dwaine brought several people, men and ladies to help finish up with the
preparation. Afterwards, everyone stayed
on for a bit for some visits.
