Rainy beach day. It is just over an hour’s drive to the beach,
so we thought we would make this drive to the beach just beyond Sonsonate. It was very cloudy when we left and it was
lightly raining when we arrived. That
made it coolish. The beach was the same
beach that I went to with Jose and Kelly and it has a rocky coast. In a sense, that broke some of the waves and seemed
to make it a little safer. It was so
cold, that Leanna and I did not go in.
Dwaine, Clifton and Christina did go in the water and climbed on the
rocks….slippery! The water was warm and
that made for a nice swim. We didn’t
stay too long because of the rain. We
drove back to Sonsonate and got a cool drink along the way and we made
sandwiches for lunch. It was an okay
outing, but of course a warm, sunny day on the beach would have been
ideal. For the evening, we had our
midweek service. It was a good number
and Osvaldo led the class. Leanna came
in and helped me with the children. Celia
and Terry were walking by as we finished and they said they had been to the
doctor. Over the last several months,
Terry had health issues and they had not been able to discover why. Tonight she said the doctor said she had
serious heart issues and the prognosis was not good. We were deeply moved. It actually took us a day or two and a visit
to realize the depth of the seriousness of her health. We are in prayer for her. She is 38 and Celia is very dependent on her
for her sustenance. Keep this family in
your prayers.
Encounter going to the beach.
Just a stroll along the road.
