Help!
Second day with no water! We have
almost used all our backup bottles. We
are hoping not to have to buy water. At
any rate, it definitely means no showers!
The dishes are also beginning to stack up as well. It usually only off for a day. We asked around and the record seems to be
about 4 days. Hope something like this
doesn’t happen while the group is here.
I remember one stretch of a couple of days without water in Guyana…..a
little on the rough side. Dwaine called
Cesar early morning to see if he could run him to Sonsonate to pick up the car.
Our studies begin about 9 and if they
left out about 8, Cesar, at least could be back to begin those studies. Clifton could join him and I always go out
with Seily. The guys got to study with
Bro. Rafael. Delmy said she couldn’t
study until the afternoon. Seily and I
were able to connect with Briseida. It
was good to get back into that mode again and a blessing that all had good
health. Claudia Veronica was not at home
and we thought we would stop by Reina’s.
She wasn’t home either. Dwaine
got back to the house with a car with AC now.
However, we finished up about the same time as Cesar and Clifton, so I
rode back with them. For the afternoon,
the guys went out to Delmy’s and to check on Mr. Rivas. Amaila, Mr. Rivas’ grandmother, said of late
he was gone a lot and usually did not say where he was going. They decided to
forego Sister Ana since I had just gone on Tuesday. About 1:45 Carolina and Ana
came to our house for their study. Ana
is coming to a lot now and it is exciting to see her desire to learn. She as a really good question and that is
always a positive sign that they are engaged in the study and not just being
polite. Just as they were about to leave, the water came back on! Yeah!!!!
It was low pressure, but we were thankful that it was in process. A little after 3, I headed out to
Socorro’s. She seemed a little tired, so
she served some coffee and cut the bread I had taken. I had just had a snack with Ana and Carolina,
but I couldn’t turn it down. That study
went well and she said she would go to service.
Service was a little smaller in that it was raining pretty good and
several were sick. Dwaine led the study.
Afterwards, the ladies (and Jose) did some signups for helping with the meals
next week. Everyone participated and it
looks like I will have lots of help. I
have been going to bed about 11 or 12 and up at 4 to 4:30 for a while now to
prepare for the group. I am prayerful it
will all come together and go smoothly!
