One week to
go. Just one week to go before the
campaign comes. We are all excited about
seeing friends AND FAMILY, and sharing the Central family with our friends
here. And, we are especially excited to
learn how God will use all the workers to His glory. We are prayerful about every aspect of the
work in the upcoming week. Bright and
early on Monday, we had a study with Celia.
Dwaine led the study. We were a
little disappointed that Terry had to change work days and she was not there to
join us. We finished up at 9 so that we
could host our last leader meeting before the group comes from Central. There were not too many details to wrap up as
we have been working on things for quite a while. Hopefully, not to many, “I didn’t think of
that…” details have been overlooked. We
are sure we will learn a lot from hosting a large campaign and this will help
us grow to even better serve in the future.
After lunch I went out with Seily to study with Reina and Amalia. Reina was not home, but we met her coming
from town as we reached the end of the cemetery road. She said that she could study Wednesday
morning. We did pass Briseida’s home and
she was home for the first time in three weeks.
We were very thankful to see her.
The last time she was home was when her daughter was so sick with the
Juayuan virus. We had worried she was
worse. She was much improved and said
she could study on Wednesday. For the
night, we had the New Converts class. We
are trying to talk about the New Testament church now and we had a lesson on
the Lord’s Supper. We missed having a
few, but we were excited that both Ana and George came. They are not Christians. I had started studying with Ana last week,
but on this occasion, we asked if Ana and George might get together. They said they could come on Thursday
afternoon. He does not read and Ana said
he was bashful about this. Hopefully, we
can get this going this week. It was
truly a blessing to have people in our home and share with them. Happy 4th
of July….no fireworks to celebrate here, but thinking of all the reunions and
celebrations for you all. It was a good
day to remember our country in prayer.
