Dwaine did
early morning errands, especially focusing on writing Juayua name on all the
chairs at the building. That is in
preparation for using our chairs in Salcoatitan on Sunday for the big gathering
of the churches. At 10 we had another
meeting with Cesar and Carlos to continue to work on agenda items in Juayua and
Salcoatitan. Cesar said that he would
have to leave early to take Eliza to Ahuachapán to have her toenail removed
from an injury. At 1:30, Dwaine walked
up to Mauricio’s for a scheduled study, but he was not there. He said at this point, he thought he would
just wait for him to renew interest as he stays so busy. At 2:30 I went to pick up Katheryn for a
study and her dad, Marcos was home. I
talked to him about studying, but he is has a very erratic work schedule. We will stay in prayer about him. We are supposed to go to his birthday party a
week from Saturday, so hopefully doors will stay open. As I was leaving, Nelson was arriving so he began
his study with Dwaine. Cesar arrived
shortly from his trip and joined the study.
We all wrapped up a little after four because we were supposed to go by
and visit with Mario and Sara. Mario was
trying to get a truck to transport chairs and we wanted to talk to him and Sara
about Mario’s upcoming surgery to remove the brace in his leg. He is going to try to schedule the surgery in
January. Hopefully he can make a full
recovery with the finality of this surgery.
He will have to have some therapy as well to follow. It will be a long process and they are very
apprehensive of undergoing this long care and pain again. Keep them in your prayers. The brace is external to the leg, so
hopefully it will not be too invasive.
Next, Dwaine went to help Cesar with the leadership lesson and almost as
soon as he left, Ulma, Juan Miguel, Yesenia, Karen and Elena arrived. I have been communicating with Yesenia about
some puppets and room décor, as she is very talented. Yesenia decorated both our classroom and
nursery and wants to work on our new additional adolescence class that will
begin in January. I had a book to make
puppets and Lucky had brought me lots of felt and I passed all that along for
her to use to make hand puppets. She was
extremely excited about this prospect.
They left after about an hour and a half and I skyped some with the
children. Dwaine got home about 7:30 and
he and I worked on crafts for Sunday’s class for a couple of hours.
