When I post several days in a row, I have trouble remembering everything and this was one of those....so a picture brought to mind that we did a meeting on Friday, but on Thursday, we went with Carlos in Salcoatitan to do some studies. We are going to try to go one morning a week to help him with contacts and support that work on a regular basis and form some relationships, We first had a study with a lady who Carlos had met previously. Next, we went by some new members, Edardo and Brenda. Only Brenda was home. They have a lot of pressure from their grandmother to go to another church. So, we were trying to encourage her to remain faithful. On our walk back to the church, we passed another lady who has also visited regularly so we stopped and talked to her as well. Dwaine and I were planning for Douglas and Sonja to come at 11:30 so we headed home. But
they did not. Sometimes Douglas works
double shifts, so we will have to look for another day. Next, we met with Xiomara and Emilet to go to
visit with Blanca. She was home!!! Yeah!
She was ready to study about repentance and it was a good study. We know she wants to make some changes, but she
is definitely overloaded. There were 12
children in her family, but she said all the healthcare of her aging parents
fall to her. Her parents live in
Salcoatitan, so she make frequent trips there and has a small store in her
home. She served some treats this visit
and we had an enjoyable time together.
It was after 5 when we finished up, and we had our Bible study at 6 at
Cesars. There was a good turnout, but we
missed our new convert Miguel and many from Sister Ana’s house did not
come. Jose came with his family and that
was good to have him with us, as he has been out a lot recently. Rolando, Blanca and Ana (Blanca's sister) also came. Cesar has been studying with them and they
had come to some differences. So, it was
a blessing to have them come and renew their studies. Eliza had injured her toe and someone stepped on
that, so Cesar came by for some meds afterwards. She said it was bleeding a lot....
