We decided early that we would try a few more
invitations since we still had a few areas to go visit. We had 36 more invites printed and headed
out. We made good time and think we got
the area canvased. When we finished,
Dwaine stayed at the building to do some cleaning and I came home to work my
lesson for the afternoon. At 2:30, Cesar
came to go study with Mr. Rivas and Melvin at the building and Ulma arrived to
go with Regina and I to study at Sister Ana’s home. There was a lot of activity at Sister Ana’s
as the ‘Day of the Dead’ holiday is on Wednesday. Traffic, pedestrians and activities are on
the rise for the week. It is funny for
many people said that should be a rain this week to finish the harvest for the
coffee. Everyone said it is usually raining
on the Day of the Dead…..a holiday much like our Memorial Day in the States. While it is very cloudy, rain didn’t come
until late in the night. But it did come.
The cemetery is all cleaned in anticipation of many visitors and there
will be many flowers placed. It is really lovely after the holiday. So, Ana and her family were busy thinking of
this day as well. The other activity
going on, is school is wrapping up.
Ingrid arrived with an armful of projects from school and will finish by
the end of the week. We stayed on until
5 and Dwaine arrived home just a few minutes after me. When Dwaine returned
home, he shared that Mr. Rivas was strongly considering his life choices and
would communicate in the evening if he was ready to make those life
change. We did not hear from him, but
know God is working on his heart. Keep
him in your prayers as he often expresses that he wants that forgiveness, but
something holds him back. Don Santos
arrived close to 6 with Jimmy. Dwaine
studied ‘Que Dice la Biblia’ regarding church government. They finished up about 8. I worked on about an hour, but I give out in
the evenings since I get up at 4 or 4:30.
Dwaine stayed on up and worked for another hour.
Can you find the orange kitty?
