Gimme five.
Apparently after our larger tremor Thanksgiving Day we have had five
more tremors between 4 and 5 on the Richter scale. People use the term tremor instead of
earthquake so I asked how they differentiate.
They said swaying constitutes tremors and the ground actually separating
constitutes an earthquake. So that was
my Earth Science lesson for the day.
Kelly and Nicole came early for our Bible study and they said one of the
crater lakes in Chalchuapa had a mass kill off of fish from sulfuric acid leaks
from the volcano. Interesting. While we were studying, Dwaine went to the
building for registration on our summer program. We had wanted to have between 15 to 20
students and it looks like he hit exactly that, about 17 to 18ish. That is about 7 or 8 from our members and the
rest from the community. That will kick
off on Monday. When Dwaine walked in
from that, Kelly and Nicole loaded up to go home and Eliza walked in. She came over for a planning session. We spent most of our time working on class
expansions and teachers but also talked about ladies class….nonevent style for
the body, baby shower for a sister and events in the future. We went all the way until 1:30. We ate a quick bite and rested for about 20
minutes. I rode up to pick up Katheryn
and Dwaine waited for Nelson to come. He
did not show. Katheryn stayed on until
about 5. We had a quite evening,
watching a movie. Wow….downtime….yeah. My voice is still struggling with a nice
cough after almost 3 weeks now, so a rest night is good.
