Happy
Birthday Clifton! We got to call Clifton
early to wish him a ‘Happy 23rd Birthday!” With a different schedule, we don’t get to
celebrate with him, but it was good to use that Skype for a nice greeting. It is always great to have visitors. Jim joined us for our Sunday morning meeting
and did the Lord’s Supper thoughts for us.
Dwaine translated. It was great
and especially for the teachers and children.
It was our first Sunday to join the service for the Lord’s Supper. I think I have been in a service just once or
twice in the past year for the entire service.
Salcoatitan has everyone together for the Lord’s Supper before Sunday
school, so I have always enjoyed that.
That did seem to make the children’s class really short. We heated tamales from the Ladies’ Event, so
that really made it even shorter. One
good aspect of the shorter class is that may leave some crafts and materials
for Wednesday night and help to have enough ideas without a lot of additional
work. Since I have two helpers now in
the Wednesday night classes and they are beginning to do the entire lesson that
will give them a source of material without my input. After service, I had a respite. I took about a two hour nap after the short
fall from Friday night of only one hour.
Boy, that helped! Jim and Dwaine
visited and rested some in the afternoon.
We went to Salcoatitan and the other visitors from the States and the Cortez’s
also joined us. Afterwards we went to
Carbon and Lena’s for a great dinner together.
Their visit sure was short!
