It’s
here! The Confaternidade! It was reported we had 960 participants! That is stupendous! This is the annual gathering of all the
churches in the west of El Salvador. It
started at 8:30 and went to 3:00.
Dwaine, Cesar and Arnoldo worked to get chairs to Moros & Cristianos
early and then Dwaine picked me up at 7:30 and I used my hour to get my class
ready. Dwaine returned to Juayua to pick
up Ana and family. Muros and Christianos
is in Salcoatitan and this was a joint hosting by Juayua and Salcoatitan. It was a gorgeous setting. I taught from 9 to 11 and Dwaine helped to
serve the Lord’s Supper during this time.
Our drama worked great and the children (about 45) participated in many
dynamics, crafts, demos, etc. I have a
little bit of a cold, so this finished off my voice, but it was so much
fun. I knew when I finished, my energy
level would leave me. Dwaine came out to
help load stuff in the car and I followed him back in, but there was not an
empty seat to join him. Arnoldo and I
sat outside with some others and I was thankful for a nice breeze…..only I
couldn’t hear a word. We broke for lunch
and then had the last session. Because
it was so full we sat in the balcony and it was much warmer there, so I sure
was sleepy. We did finish up about 3 and
Dwaine stayed on about 3 hours to help sort and transport chairs. I took Ana
and family home. On the way home, I came upon a police check point. They stop people randomly and I am almost sure, he motioned me to pull off for the check, but I eased along and he just got the motorcycle behind me. I was afraid that I did not have license and residence cards because of changing purses. And, I was sure Sister Ana did not have on her seatbelt. Sure enough, once I was past, I looked and I did not have any cards in my purse! I sure was thankful they let me ease on through. Then when Dwaine got home later, he said he was with Cesar and Cesar got stopped. He had a tail light out and got a $35 fine. Who knows, if I had been stopped, maybe I would be in jail now, but at least a nice fine. I must remember to keep those cards in the right purse! Back to Dwaine...The men had gotten about 100 chairs from the Mayor’s office
and they had to get those back by 7.
Once Dwaine got home, I went on to bed about 7:30 after a little skyping
and Dwaine stayed up to about 9:30 or 10.
Into the night, he said that Caleb called to say that he and Della had
gotten some ‘food poisoning’ from some hotdogs and had been terribly sick all
day. We are keeping them in our
prayers.

You look lovely in your head wrap, mom! Impressive turnout. Some very pretty views there.
