Back to meeting. We started the morning with a meeting with
Carlos and Cesar to prepare for the upcoming summer camp, three weeks of
classes ranging from Bible, Science, Morals, Robotics, Art, Music, etc. It will be an undertaking! We also have the upcoming area wide event on
Sunday and a ‘Body’ meal planned in November.
One more, we are planning a graduation dinner for people who have
finished ‘Que Dice la Biblia.’ During
the meeting, Fernando and Fernando (father and son) arrived from Ahuachapán to
pick up a letter from Caleb and Della.
They are preparing a Saturday event to honor Fernanda who will be
turning 15. On the way home, they were
going by Apaneca to order a birthday cake.
We are going to pick that up on Saturday as we go that way. At 2, I picked up Ulma at the bus stop and we
picked up Regina to go to Sister Ana’s.
Unusually, Ana was not home. So,
we had a little extra time. Regina said
it was Kenia’s birthday and I had not fixed a dessert for our evening time with
Don Santos. So, we all went by the house
and did some baking and visiting. I had a
cake mix on hand so it was simple. One
layer went to Kenia, we cut one layer to test it out, some went to Ulma and
enough was saved for Don Santos. So, we
got a lot of use out of one mix. It was
good to have some visiting time. Dwaine
and Cesar went up to the building to study with Miguel, Melvin and Eber. Mr. Rivas was out. This finalized Miguel’s decision to be
baptized on Wednesday. But, there were
not any other takers. Dwaine did come
home with some news, Eber’s wife gave birth to a little girl, Melanie and all
went well. Don Santos came at 7 for his
study (and cake). Dwaine is working
through ‘Que Dice La Biblia.’ with him. He left about 8:30 or 9 and we watched
election returns until late. I went on
to bed about 11, Dwaine about 1:30 and finally we got up at 2:30 to get the final
news.
Cemetery is always beautiful with the flowers placed on Day of the Dead!
