Fellowship Sunday. We had a car load going to church. Pedrito had stayed the night and Brenda and
Lucky were here. . For the first time, we had had arrived before
Carlos drove to the building, and he had to pass us to park. We had given all the food to them, so Dwaine
was glad that he did not have to carry everything! It was a good time of fellowship. Pedrito went on to the teen class and Brenda
said her hellos and good-byes all in one.
Carlos took them to the Guatemala border for Brenda to catch a bus back
home. After service, the ladies honored
the Father’s for Father’s Day with some gifts, drinks and pastries. It was a nice event. Three of the children came up and said poems
or did dramas. Afterwards the teen girls
met and had devo. We tried to take a
very brief nap with Pedrito working on some crafts, but I think I got about 5
minutes. We headed on to Juayua and had
some visitors. Because Cesar is out of
the country with his family, Carlos did the preaching for us. Ricardo did the song directing and Lord’s
Supper. Joli’s sister visited from
Sonsonate with her two children. I had
brought some special things for the kids, so we had a journey and finally had
the Bible story in a tent. It was
fun. After church, our group headed to
Zuleyma’s to visit the her family with the new baby. I had cooked dinner for them and we wanted to
get it delivered. We passed the family
we were studying with and spoke with them.
One tradition I noted at Zuleyma’s home was to place an open Bible in
the bed. It was a beautiful sight.
Everyone looked like they were doing great and getting settled in.
