He's gone and we get lost! We
got up and got off for the airport at 8:00 and went by Wal Mart on the way. We wrote down all the directions and plan to
go back next Monday for a few more items we need. We got to the airport about 11:45 and Caleb's
flight was for 12:30 so he went on in pretty quick. We met with a man who was a good friend of
Lucky and visited for a few minutes.
Then we headed back to San Salvador for lunch at Wendy’s. When we left I missed a turn and we got all
out of direction because you have to go so far in San Salvador before you can
turn around. We knew the street that was
near the dentist office but we could never find the street that came off of it
because so many of the streets had no numbers.
We drove around about 45 minutes and asked several people for directions
but they did not help much. Finally when
we knew we were going to be late for our 2:00 appointment Lucky called the
dentist office and they stayed on the phone with her until we got there. We were about 20 minutes late but they took
her right on back and the dentist worked on Charlotte's mouth for about 1 ½
hrs. She said he was working on a tooth
that had been previously crowned and that he removed and replaced that crown
over 200 times! At first I thought she
was just making a comment of exaggeration but she said no she had counted!!! The
dentist said that he had placed the rods too high, so there had been too much
pressure near her eye. No wonder it had
hurt all week. Anyway, she said it did not hurt as much afterwards as the first
time and she has said it has been some better each day. We still have to go back next Monday and
possibly one more time after that. The
good news is that coming from home we know the way without any problems. We still made it to Juayua for our 5:00 study
with Raul and Anita, so that was good.
Here we go again....good-byes.
