August 11, 2016

We planned a trip to Sonsonate and San Antonio del Monte to help Ana Vilma and George to get their paperwork for their marriage.  We planned to leave at 10, I got one study in with Claudia and Dwaine ran George to the mayor’s office here in Juayua to get his birth certificate.  He also picked up Ana Vilma.  Things timed out well in that I was wrapping up the study when they all arrived to go.  Nelson, also came, their young son of 7….soon to be 8.  In recent times both Ingrid, Nelson’s cousin, and Nelson always insist on sitting up front with me.  I don’t mind, but it makes it a little crowded.  They are so funny about it though, so I go along with it.  It is a great honor, both ways.  We first went to Sonsonate to the office where Ana Vilma could get her NTE card.  That went fast and we headed on to San Antonio.  We got there about 11:30 and here, she needed to get her birth certificate.  You always have to go to the place of your birth to get that done.  They, also, were very fast and we had all the major documents in hand.  Next, Ana Vilma suggested a place to eat at the park and we got 5 plates of food and drinks for under $10.  That is amazing.  The ride back to Sonsonate was also very fast.  We made stops at Dollar City, Bombas, Super Selectos and the cake décor place.  It was funny, I went to Super while everyone else got ice cream.  I had $60 and my bill was $59.81.  I had put one thing back thinking it would be close and sure enough, it was. When all was said and done we spent all that we had, with less than a dime left in change after copies.  That is cutting it close. We got back in good time and dropped by Xiomara’s.  She had some friends for us to visit, but her feet were very swollen, so we said we would try next week to go.  That left us with a few minutes to rest before our evening study.  That was at Cesar and Eliza’s.  Eliza had scratched her eye this past week and the doctor said she should rest her eyes consistently for 10 days.  So, I volunteered to make cupcakes and had made about 31.  We had just over 30 there and I was counting, hoping I brought enough.  In the end, it was good.  We were blessed with a good turnout and were thankful for all going smooth for the day.

Practicing for their Independence Day....
