Early start.  We met with Celia and Terry at 8.  They were very welcoming and we had another difficult study about the government of the church and the validity of the word.  It has come more and more to light that the Mormon church do not teach to their membership the vast differences from the word and definitely not the foundation of their religion.  This makes it very difficult to discuss differences.  They have a sense they are on the same page as we are and they have a history of 17 years in the Mormon church.  This past week Celia visited twice and she love reading the word.  We don’t typically focus on ‘differences,’ but after a history of such a long study, there comes a time to bring those up.  We will probably shift back to just a straightforward Bible study, possibly using Que Dice la Biblia as a foundation.  Next we went by Nicole and Kelly’s.  We only had an hour, so we did not drive back to our house.  I studied with them as we are focusing on Nicole’s understanding of the Scripture.  Finally for the morning, we went to Claudia Veronica.  She was home and we were able to study repentance.  Typically, Seily goes with me, but she was not able to go and so Dwaine went with me.  She continues to come sometimes, but not regularly.  This is the first time in a while that she has been home to connect.  Hopefully this will be a good time for her.  Lunch break and at 1:30 we drove back to the same street to go by and visit with Katheryn, Jacquelyn and Allison at Alba’s house.  They had wanted to participate in the children’s program and so I wanted to get their measurements to make a vest type covering that will be painted.  Kelly just had these last three to sew and then I am going to start the painting.  Time is close…of course.  At 2:40, George and Ana Vilma came by to study.  We were doing the baptism study and they took all the verses with them to reread.  It was funny, that we thought we only had an hour before Nelson got out of school, but at the end they said he went during the morning session.  So, we didn’t have to hurry.  We did wrap up a little after four, for Dwaine was leading a lesson for Cesar.  Cesar started a leadership class and was going to be out of town.  He did arrive in town in time to assist.  It is a slow start, but several came.  I stayed home and cooked wedding cakes.  I am trying a three tier cake, using doctored mixes and canned icings.  I had brought some almond extract from our last trip home and that should make a nice addition.
