Preacher’s Meeting. It was Juayua’s turn to host the preacher’s
meeting. We got up early to finish
preparing the food….chip and dip for a snack and chili and sandwiches for
lunch. They were all easy to prepare and
we expected about 15. Dwaine
participated in the meeting and helped to serve. I cut material for a children’s program
during my lag time. Linda came early to
help with coffee and cake as people arrived and Kelly had planned to come to
help serve, but something came up and she was not able to come. It was an easy meal to put on the table. Afterwards I went with Seily for a couple of
visits. Angelica was home with her
newborn and we were able to enjoy some time with them. Dwaine and I had company coming for dinner at
5:30 so I was trying to get home about 4:30.
We finished our visit about 4:30, but on our walk down, Celia and Terry
were out visting with Raefael’s wife and daughter. So, we stopped to visit them. Terry had gotten her injection, but was not
able to get the name of the medicine she was taking. In her words, she said she had a lesion, or
scar tissue, on her heart from birth and it was causing problems. We pray for her continuously. I got back home about 4:45 and most
everything was ready when Hector and Rachel arrived. Jenny, Rachel’s mom was visiting so she kept
their children and just the two of them came.
We visited for a couple of hours for a good visit. Afterwards, Dwaine and I worked on a seminar
that we were going to on Saturday for teachers in San Salvador. It had been a busy week and this was my first
opening to work on it. Dwaine stayed up
until midnight and I worked on for just one more hour. Fortunately, it was a workshop topic I had
already taught. Part of the late night
was preparing themed cupcake to go with the lesson. It all came together fairly easily.
