Tuesday morning
we did not have a meeting. We have
changed to every other week unless something comes up. I am thankful for that to have more time to
be out and about. So, we are to have
some new studies. However, first we
headed to Celia’s to learn if they had any news regarding Terry’s and to talk
about continuing our study. She said
that they had not yet gone to the doctor, but they should be able to go on
Wednesday. She did say, also, they
wanted to continue to study. As Mormons,
they know there are differences in what we teach, but it is interesting. We have not had much experience studying with
Mormons, but many things that in their doctrine in the States are not openly
taught here. Joseph Smith is down played
in his role in establishing the Mormon Church and some obvious differences are
minimized. At any rate, they do want to
continue, at least from Celia’s perspective.
We will stop by again on in the week to see what Terry’s update is. Then, we went to our new study with Sylvia, she
was not home. Next, we went by Mauricio’s
but he was not home as well. Oops, not
looking good. With a little extra time,
we went by Luz de Maria and she was home, but she and her daughter were
eating. She said we could come back in
about an hour, so we planned to return.
We headed on home for a bite and a short rest and went back at
1:15. Although she did not attend the
Catholic Church often, her parents had been faithful to that belief and she was
well versed in those arguments. We
talked for about 45 minutes, but could see she was not really interested in
looking at the scripture. After that
study, I went on to Seily’s to pick her to go to Ana’s. Dwaine went with Cesar to search for Mr. Rivas
and Delmy. Neither were home. We had a good study with Ana. Sonja was home, but since she was caretaking
Sister Ana, she went in to rest while we were there. We ended up talking about marriage for quite
some time since her son and Ana Vilma are planning to marry soon. We did not have any lessons on reading and
writing. Now that coffee time is going,
most of the family were out working in the fields. That may be on the back burner for a
time. Dwaine’s studies were unavailable,
but Don Santos did come in the evening.
I worked on Sunday school classes and seminar while they studied Que Dice
La Biblia. Dwaine said afterwards that
he thought that the questions in those lessons were good for him to keep
focused.
