First, we went by to visit with Celia. We had studied some differences in the Mormon
church the previous Friday and came to the conclusion, the underlying
foundation of the Mormon church is not taught.
Therefore, in appearance here, the Mormon church does appear on the
surface much like the church. This makes
it very difficult to study. We are in
prayer for Celia and Terry that they may see the light of Jesus and his church. Next, we picked up Kelly and Nicole and came
back home to study. Dwaine walked over
to Cesar’s to study with Michael. He had
expressed a desire to be baptized and Dwaine wanted to join in on his
study. His grandfather, whom we never
see, had told Michael that if he was baptized, he would receive his miraculous
gift of the Spirit. So, they had a three
hour study on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Hopefully, he will still be baptized, but we have learned that the
grandfather does make the spiritual decisions of the family. After lunch, we had about an hour to clean
the house for overnight guests and head out for the leader’s retreat. We arrived just before three and people
gathered fairly quickly. Noe conducted
the first study on intimacy of marriage and Dwaine led the second lesson on
teaching your children about Christ. Dwaine
did more of an open forum/discussion format and had lots of participation. Fatima and Raul was visiting from Atiquizaya
with their son of 1 ½ year and they stayed the night with us. We got home close to 8:45 and we visited for
over an hour. After 10 we called it a night because we were to head out about
7:40 the next morning.
