The cat’s in the bag. Dwaine I spent the morning cooking and
cleaning. I was trying to ice the
cake. I used five containers of icing
and doctored it to make it stiffer and it seemed to hold its shape really
well. We will all have a sugar high that
is for sure. Dwaine made several trips to
the store to pick up items and it all seemed to be coming together. For the ladies’ event in Salcoatitan, it looked
really cloudy and that always affects attendance. So, our number was a little small. Eliza was scheduled to do the lesson, but she
shifted to singing, since she wasn’t supposed to do any reading with her eye
injury. She is doing really good and
should be back on track for upcoming events.
Linda did the lesson and, as always, did a great job. She used Eliza’s foundation and added some additional
thoughts on prayer. We did the same craft
with the milk paints. It seemLaed to be
forget it day, so Dwaine made one trip back to Juayua to get a few items and
then to the store across the street. As
he was ready to walk to the store, a lady walked by with a cat in a bag. It looked to be about 3 or 4 months old and
she asked, ‘Don’t you want a cat?’ Well,
we passed and she proceeded on, asking people along the way. Dwaine said, at last ‘Meow,’ she had no
takers. As usual, after the ladies’
event, I didn’t do too much else. Dwaine
worked on his lesson for the upcoming weekend where he will teach a class for a
leader’s retreat this upcoming weekend.
