Dwaine left about 8 to go to pick up Kelly,
Nicole and Melissa. Yes, that was great
news, in that Kelly’s sister, Melissa was in town and said she would join our
study. The study I am doing is primarily
for Nicole and we were at a good place to study God’s plan to solve the sin
problem of man. I hoped this would be
helpful too for Melissa. In one part of the study, I learned that Melissa held
a universal view of God the redeemer for all faiths. We digressed some and discussed approaching
the Father through the Son. Otherwise,
the study went well. Melissa lives in
San Salvador, so we are thankful that she visits all along and will join in a
study or a service from time to time. We
pray Jose and Kelly’s influence will also have a great impact on her. The study went almost until 11, so there was
not too much time for other activities afterwards before lunch. We cooked some for dinner guests as Ana Vilma
and George were planning to come for the night.
At two we walked to Omar’s house to have a study with all four of his
family. They had several questions and
we studied some verses to answer their questions. About 4;30 we headed on home to finish up
dinner. Our guests arrived about 6:30
and we enjoyed a meal together. After
dinner, we had found a DVD that Caleb and Della had left with various
animations on it. Since Nelson had come,
there 7 year old son, we let him pick and he chose, “The Emperor’s New Grove.” It was a nice diversion. Afterwards, we had dessert and talked about
working on details to help them marry.
We planned to go to Sonsonate and San Antonio nearby to help them get
birth certificates and papers to be able to marry. If that all comes together, they wanted to
try for August 21st for the wedding.
Since this involves Sister Ana’s family and she wants to invite her
family, this wedding will be a little more of an undertaking. We are excited to help them as they want to
do this on their road to become Christians.
It was almost 9:30 when they left, which is later than most. Dwaine drove them home and it was a blessing
to have shared the night with them.
