In the morning yesterday we went to Shucutitan and got to
hear Edguardo preach for the first time.
At least I did, Charlotte helped teach the children’s class. In the afternoon we went to the Ataco service
and Charlotte asked him if he was going to preach again. He said no and she said she was sorry she had
missed him so he spoke to Carlos who was going to preach in Ataco and told him
that he would like to preach again so Charlotte could hear him and Carlos said
that was fine with him. That was pretty
neat that Edguardo preached again just so that Charlotte could get to hear
him. After the Ataco service we left
early for Juayua. Recardo and Jolienete
had moved there just last Tuesday and we met them at 6 at the entrance and went
to see their new house. It was really
big and quite pretty but they were having to buy water because it did not have
a water source of its own and also the street going into the house was very
rough. They said they were hoping these
problems would be resolved soon. Then we
all went to the 7:00 service. We had a
good number of people and one family of visitors. It seemed like our first service there on our
own because Osvaldo was having vehicle problems and was not able to come and
Hector had preached at a church far away in the morning and did not come
either. By the time we fellowshipped a
little afterwards it was about 9 when we got back home. That is now 10 Huntsville time so we skyped
with Leanna a few minutes but that was all.
Besides the services I also studied with the teen girls. We had about 8 girls and Bessi led a devo on
Ruth. We went to visit a lady that Lucky
had tried to take us to while she was here, but could not find at home. The lady was very sweet. After talking a few minutes I tried to choose
a few verses to read based on what she shared.
That is a challenge, but we ended with a small devotional. I asked if I could come back with Dwaine and
Bessi for another visit and she said we could.
She isn’t a Christian, so maybe that will be an open door. Along the way, we ran into a wedding
party. As we turned to cut across the
coffee fields, we ran into the groom and preacher awaiting their entrance. That seemed so ‘out of place,’ but it was fun
to see. On our way to Juayua, we passed
the bride and groom in their full dress walking along the road. That seemed out of place too, but a beautiful
sight.
We laughed in Sunday school because of the 'look alikes.'

God's glory.
